Description
Since the days of Aristotle, Western philosophers have considered time as being anisotropic. That is, it has different characteristics forward as opposed to backward. Whereas a forward movement with respect to time is indeterminate, a backwards movement must necessarily follow a determinate path--the same that it took forward. This work challenges that theory. It proposes that time and space are both isotropic. Directional changes with respect to each are relative. Whether a change is considered forward or backward, the same physical laws apply. Movement in time is inherently non-directional, and in that respect, indistinguishable.
